This truck is going to have more pent-up demand than any truck in history. If Tesla sold Cybertrucks through dealerships, like Ford does, the dealer mark-ups would be even higher. I could see the first few hundred going for three times the manufacturer's list price.

Theoretically, they could sue you for breech of contract. But they won't try to do that unless you have been reselling a high volume of new Tesla. What they will do is refuse to sell you any more new Tesla.

In a way, this is true, as once Tesla has put out a few hundred thousand, ability to jump through the hoops and pay for the trucks that are coming out of the factory will be more important than where you are in the queue. During the extended Model 3 queue, they started that in the second year for performance models and then for the rest of models when there were still more than a third of the queue remaining.
