So I live in a manned gated community with a gatehouse. One lane for guests one for residents. FSD v13 would always turn into the guest lane so I’d have to take over to use the resident barcode lane.

This morning I tested the 14.1 update and same deal so I was bummed.

Later today as I was returning from the gym, it’s put the blinker on to go to the left lane, then immediately turned it off and stayed in the resident lane. I was blown away it’s as if it learned from last time. I had to advance it a little bit after the first gate arm came down but it waited and went through no problem. Very impressed!

Constant improvement. Patience is a virtue. Other cars are not like this.

I had the same experience. We have a strange gate exit in our neighborhood, requiring staying left where it would be natural to stay right. I disengaged one time and forced it left, and now it does it corrects every time. It also waits for both the sideways-roller gate and the arm to clear properly.

The new FSD is truly amazing. My wife’s MY Juniper is still better, but the CT is truly great. I’m still not convinced we can ever get unsupervised FSD, but wouldn’t place any bets. My skepticism is for several reasons, but an example is a recent experience with it completely giving up due to a thunderstorm downpour on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, 2 miles from either end. When acting as a robotaxi or kid shuttle, no way can a vehicle simply stop in such a situation due to obscured cameras.

Have any of you been able to “teach” it to back into your driveway? My charger is set up in such a way that it’s best to back in.
