I just saw through my UPS app that they are preparing to ship a 10 lbs. package to my house. I have no orders that I’m aware of. Anyone else monitor their UPS items through the app. I have the 1236’th vehicle made.
I for sure thought they would send that to the SC, if it’s even the covers.

Thanks for the heads up, it’s not as if I’m going to use them.

I am for now anyway. If it’s them. I love the wheels but I, like several others, can not get that freaking brown crap off my wheels to save my life. It’s a hassle. I’d rather have the caps. I seriously spend more time on cleanings my wheels than the truck.

Do you need to remove the black center cap & nut covers (assuming you have them) in order to install the aero covers?

No I do not have them, UPS has prepared a label to ship something from Tesla to me that weighs 10 pounds. I have not placed any recent orders. Also not sure if you can keep the center caps on with the covers. I will not either way.

I don’t think so. I am but I already have Tesla Solar plus two Tesla batteries. From my understanding I will just need a software update. Please advise if you know about that.

4 wheel covers (with the 4 snap-on rings) shipped in one box will come out between 15 - 18lbs

It’s 100% something else

Yeah, the weight seems suspect. Would be nice if some folks have the same notice. Unless you have the aero caps not sure where you’re getting the info. I really can’t imagine what else it could be! I have no orders at all.

I have the same thing, I also ordered the winter wheel package and was wondering if they ship something to the house for that, but wheel covers probably makes more sense.

Edit: I have the same thing but the weight is 1 lb 🤷

I don’t know if this is true, but I‘ve read where the re-designed aero covers are still coming off the wheel. So if mine come directly to my home, then I’ll schedule a SC appointment so Tesla will be responsible for the install in the event I suffer from one coming off.

I don’t want Tesla claiming it was my fault because they were improperly installed.

I don't think they are mailing them. I refuse to use my local service center because the service manager is a complete a**, and I was ready to strangle him the last time I was there. So, instead I'll drive two hours from Jacksonville to Orlando.

Regardless, I sent a message in after I received my email saying I'm on the list for the covers to let them know I want to do it at the Orlando location. I received the below message saying I'll receive a message in the app to schedule a service appointment once they are available.

My SC told me when I took delivery the same thing. The intent of my post was to warn the DIY community in the event they receive aero covers in the mail.
