I've got to say, I'm glad I stayed OG and went with the MR707's.

MR707 wheels - 18x9 139.7 18"
KO3 tires - LT275/70 R18

Any reason why you picked that tire size? Seems like the 18s from unplugged and Martian wheels fit 285/75/18 without any problems.

Lots of reasons I can think of:

Any 18 will fit that tire size, or stock width, fine on the CT.
+18mm offset wheels can fit even 35"x12.5" with no issues.
The CT is designed for 18s, it's in their off-road handbook. So any 18 inch wheel will fit, just gotta watch weight rating.
Method is extremely reputable and absolutely top-notch, especially the 700 series bead grips he got.
Method is less than half the cost of CT-specific marketed wheels.

I am well aware of Method wheels. Have Method 305s wrapped in KO2s on an LC100.

I was just wondering if it was just personal preference or was there a reasoning to the tire size since it is very close to what some aftermarket wheel companies recommend.

Also in regards to FSD, I would assume the extra poke with lower offset might be an issue? Usually when turning corners, FSD cuts pretty close to the curbs with the stock wheels/tires.

Oh, you meant poke? I'm using 12.5" width and +18mm, so some poke, but I've never clipped a curb and I run FSD everywhere. Probably about 2k miles on this setup

That's actually one of the things I tested, and honestly, that inch and a half didn’t make much of a difference—it was pretty much the same.
