How do you operate the light? I also took my truck in to install the lightbar but a few hours later the Tesla repair depot calls and says they need more parts?? And that they had to order these parts. Would take two weeks to get the parts. Did not mention anything about having another shop make the wire connections. Maybe these wires you held up are the parts they need to receive from Tesla warehouse.
Is there a new control on the screen for the lightbar? Can you turn on each of the three sections independently?

you cant half a milky white cover (diffuser) and still have a light throw 50 feet in front of you thats not how it works my dude.

Pretty sure I saw a video 3-4 weeks ago that showed the install of it. IIRC its not very difficult to DIY the connection yourself and once connected (wire is already prerun factory) it shows up in the UI to activate/deactivate.

I hate "influencers" or these kinds of videos... they literally are showing to gov agencies what is going on, then they fix the issue so that no one else can enjoy or have it.
EDIT: This includes Dirty Tesla... by showing FSD might be flawed the same way a human could, you're asking NHTSA to get involved.
EDIT #2: my brain died on me on the first post, apologies.
Edit #3: anyone else thinks apologies should be "appologies" since we put such an emphasis on "PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP" - almost got me spitting here.

N. Cal - just set up my appointment next week for wheel covers and light bar installs. Both are in stock at my SC (Corte Madera, CA aka Larkspur). They also noted a number of service issues including a wiring harness replacement that runs on top of the battery pack that will be done at the same time. Expect 2-3 days in the shop.

If you're referring to the title of my thread, that was an Admin revision. My title was "MKBHD Light Bar Video".

Waited three weeks for the appt to install the lightbar that Tesla sent to the service center directly. Received an email on the light. Took my truck last Tuesday - took time off work and in the afternoon get an email saying that they need additional parts that were not received. I sent back an email and asked to have the lightbar box put in the bed and that I would bring it back in two or three weeks ( their estimate) when they have the parts. My suspicion was correct. The box was ripped up on the top and taped over. My bet is they needed some parts for another install and a tech took them out of the box with my name on it and did not order the parts he took out. My guess is that Tesla does not have these individual parts available at all and they had to reorder a new light bar complete kit.

very annoying to say the least. Going to Death Valley on Sunday for three days and the plan was to use the light bar to do some off road driving at night…
