However, may need a bike rack after all.
This will always remain the most reasonable option. It annoys me to have to disassemble and reassemble bicycles every time

If you don’t care about range, just put rails in the vault and walk them in. With the option to lower the rear of the truck, it should be no problem to stand them up in the vault.

If you do care about range, the rack with trash your range as much or more than putting them in the bed so you gotta pull them apart.

When I owned the truck, I only used the rack on it when I had 4+ bikes. It was easier to just mount them in the bed.
