"Musk appeared for an almost-90-minute interview with reporter Andrew Ross Sorkin for the New York Times 2023 Dealbook Summit on Wednesday, during which the two talked about subjects ranging from Tesla and SpaceX to artificial intelligence (AI), the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, free speech and more.
During the conversation, Musk predicted that the Thursday Cybertruck launch would be “by far” this year’s largest product launch, adding that he’s done “more than any human on Earth” for the environment by selling electric vehicles (EVs).
[The Cybertruck event] will be the biggest product launch of anything by far on Earth this year,” Musk said during the summit. “Whether you hate me, like me or are indifferent, do you want the best car or not the best car?”"

I take 250miles trips 5+ times a years.
so - for 5 trips a year, you would rather the other 340 days of the year:

• the price of the car to be 20% higher
• the speed/acceleration of the car to be 10% slower (or the price net 25% higher)
• the handling to be 10% worse (or the price net 30% higher)
• the braking to be 10% worse (or the price net 35% higher)

If so, it’s a valid desire, but not a very reasonable request of the manufacturer

especially since they already sell that car: it’s called a Model S

Seems maybe bought the wrong model, or want something for nothing?

I have M3 long range, it limits me travel around the country. I take 250miles trips 5+ times a years. horrible experience for long distance travel. Best car shall not give me range anxiety.
Huh? We usually charge up to 100% before a 250-mile trip and then don't have to stop for additional charging until we are home.

Do you have aero wheels? Best thing since sliced bread, LOL!

assume the 300miles version is $65k. $65k x 0.2=$13k. yes.. I am willing to pay extra $13k for additional 200miles.

after 5 years, 80k miles. my m3 long range and only go 260miles on full charge. winter range is 15% to 20% shorter without turn on heat. It is still excellent car for short distant travel or daily commute(i charge in my garage). I can not believe new M3 long range is still 330miles after 5 years. Tesla sucks..

We just did a 2000+ mile road tip over 12 days (2018 M3 LR, Vin 32XXX). All the way out to Moab and back, hitting 5 national parks in the SW. It was awesome. Supercharging while we ate and took bathroom breaks, free level 2 charging overnight at all our hotels.

To each his own, enjoy those oil changes and $5+ gas!

i usually charge to 100% when go long distant. when it was new, it has 18% to 20%. I have to travel 12 miles(local) to supercharge stations to charge up 80% for local usage. Then I have to plan out where to charge on the way back. Remember, supercharge station are not everywhere like gas stations.

Is there another BEV that can go 330 miles that costs the same as the M3? Maybe you mean everybody sucks.
