I had XPEL prime XR plus put on the front. Meticulous install, very good work, a little haze at first and maybe a bubble or two, all were gone in a day or two in Texas heat. Very minor haze color through the clear tint but I think that has a lot to do with the angle of the windshield and how much “material” I’m looking through at that steep angle. My installer cut out the camera area rather than tint through it, I’d never know but I asked how he managed it

I actually think most installers do it that way. So I’d expect it’s some residue in the camera area from the tinting process. The plastic triangle that covers the camera area can be removed and the window wiped clean for ya. I’d bet they can take care of that pretty quick

Thank you for the reply. I need to figure out how to remove that black triangle in the middle of the windshield. Everything looks amazing. However when I look at the feed through my phone, it’s pretty hazy. They recommended keeping it out in the sun for a while, but it’s pretty cloudy the next couple days.

Sounds like it’s a fresh install, ya man. Sounds like there’s some residue that could use a wipe. I’m sure there be happy to do it. Otherwise I’m sure there’s a YouTube video that will show you how to take it off

No windex or any cleaner that has ammonia in it.. you will be very sad.

Actually, it’s well posted on this site that haze is due to off-gassing.
My July 1 CB is ridiculously foggy. I’ve had to dish soap clean the windows twice now and that was before my tint went on.

My other tesla wasn’t even close to this much off gassing and smell. That little triangle will need to be cleaned for most of these imo, will have a foggy image when self drive comes to be in 2027.
