Hello! I just got my truck back from service to try and diagnose why my 1450 was not able to charge another Tesla. Whenever I would plug the mobile connector (That came with the FS Cybertruck) into the 1450 and plug it into another Tesla, on the CT screen, the power would ramp up to about 6 - 6.5kW and then the outlet would reset. The response I got back from Tesla is below. What does this mean?

Works fine on my other Tesla. It sounds like Tesla misunderstood your question.

Are you saying you can charge another tesla through your 1450 with the mobile connector you received on your FS cybertruck at a full 32- 40 amps without it resetting?

I can charge my wife’s model 3 at that wattage with the older mobile 14-50 Tesla charger I have. I tested it before putting the one that came with my CyberTruck up for sale, in case there was a reason that only the new one work work. On that note I have an unused, in opened mobile charger for sale if anyone is in need.

The one that came with the Cybertruck will be able to be used to power loads from the charge port eventually. The standard MC will not.

Did you try it after getting the truck back? It looks like they removed and checked the bed outlets.

Explanation is for powering things from the charge port.

I haven’t tried it yet as I had to pick up the truck in an after hours lot. They are saying that I have to reduce the amps on the vehicle receiving the charge for it to work. Is this normal?

No, I think they misunderstood you. You shouldn't have to reduce current to charge another vehicle from the NEMA 14-50 outlet in the bed. But it also sounds like they might have fixed your problem. Why don't you try it out when you get your truck back?

I bet it works without reducing the charge current.

My standard MC does, does, and as far as the outlet knows, it’s just a standard 220 accessory, so no reason that would ever change. What do you mean the one that comes with the Cybertruck will be able to-owed loads from the charge port. The MC that comes with the CT has a 220 outlet on one end and a NACs on the other correct? How would it ever power a load from the charge port?

Along with the current adapters that are all plug type, they will soon add outlet types that you'll be able to plug things into. Basically a 32A powerstrip/ extension cord that plugs into the charge port.
Sort of a mini Powershare.

It's a handy feature to have and allows powering things with the vault locked.
The service write up in the OP on this thread is saying what I am talking about.

Per the owners manual:

The outlets stop providing power when Cybertruck is no longer occupied (when you leave the vehicle and close the doors).

And:

All AC power outlets combined (120V cabin, 120V cargo bed, and the 240V cargo bed outlet) are limited to a combined maximum of 40A. If multiple devices are plugged in and drawing power at the same time, power to each device may be reduced or interrupted.

I use my 14-50 outlet with my portable Tesla charger and use it for my cybertruck and my wife’s MY. My truck charges around 8 mph and the MY charges around 17 mph. But we are going to install a wall charger because we have to rotate cars. With the wall charger at the garage door area I can reach either and not have to move vehicles.

Each 120V circuit (cabin and bed) can provide 20 amps continuously (and simultaneously). That's 40 amps of 120 volt power. I'm pretty sure there would still be at least 20 Amps of 240 volt power available out of the NEMA 14-50 outlet. Is this not the case? Because we know it can output 40 amps for 240 volt power.

It's an industry leading amount of AC current. I don't know of any other EV that has as much capacity.
