I received the new cargo divider and sadly it does not fit correctly in the L-Tracks. I thought they had this issue figured out and reworked which is why I ordered. Maybe my bed is out of spec?

It’s a problem with the bed. Take it to service. They are replacing my bed panel on July 1 because of this.

Can you give us a little info. I bought the divider and even got a replacement.....same issues. I took it to SC.....came back and they had it in. I was like "cool" I tried it and it was not easy. It is the bed....so did you have to convince them? what did they say?

Essentially I informed the SC that the bed was the issue by demonstrating how the Divider was able to seat properly on other CTs that were at the SC during a previous visit.

Their Techs apparently were aware of this issue so they setup an appointment to reseat the bed (as has been described by others) and voila! Now the Divider could easily be placed anywhere along the Vault Track with no difficulty at all.

Question:

Just received my divider. I have the "flat circles" version.

My bed doesn't appear bent or malfit, however, the circles don't engage in the bedrail tracks at all. Both sides are raised up slighty. While it "divides" the bed, oboviously not a tremendous amount of resistance from tipping over.

Am I making sense?

Is this a bed fitment issue?

Found a workaround (or maybe the reason) the divider doesn't fit. Had two thoughts - either the bed was two high or the rails were too low. Ended up being the rails for me.

Bed too high: checked this first. All the bolts were seated properly. It did seem possible for them to be caught up on a lip, so I'd still recommend checking this, but it wasn't the issue in my case. These mostly sit and bolt directly into the casting, so there really wasn't any reasonable adjustment I could find. I assumed the casting dimensions were good (as in all the mounting locations were in-plane), and the spacers where included were appropriate, but didn't check. It was amusing finding the hand cut holes in the casting for the suspension and other components. VIN is early 6000s. By hand cut, I mean with a saw-zall type tool.

Rails too low: this ended up solving my problem. There are 6 bolts of interest on each side (4 in the rail, 2 on the side tie down points) that fix the rails in place. Losing these bolts allowed enough play to position the rails at the perfect height for the divider. Once the rails were loose, I installed the bed divider, applied some additional upward pressure on the divider, then tightened the bolts. I did the front and back most bolts first, installing the divider at each location before tightening that location so as to make sure it is level the entire length. In the pictures, the yellow is the casting hole and the blue is the center of the rail hole.

This was pretty quick and easy (<30 minutes). I'm surprised some SC's are blaming this on the dividers.

I, too, had trouble installing the cargo divider. I was able to get it to fit over the sub-vault hatch, but not over the fixed portion of the vault floor. I estimate that the cargo divider latch bolts were 2 mm too high to slip into the L-track holes when it was placed on the floor ahead of the hatch.

I liked your approach to solving the problem and gave it a try because seemed like it involves the least amount of time and effort. I loosened the 6 bolts that attach the inside vault panel/L-track. I took out a 10mm head bolt and looked to see if I had a similar situation as you, and found that I did.

I couldn't budge the side panel upward by hand, so I used a fulcrum and lever to apply lift to the tie downs (see photo). This worked great on the driver's side. I was able to raise the panel a sufficient distance. That's not the case on the passenger side. I raised that panel a millimeter at most.

Still, having done this, I'm now able to insert the cargo divider ahead of the sub-vault hatch. I insert the divider into the passenger side L-track first, then pushing the driver side down, I close the latch. It's a tight fit. Not the ultimate fix, but good enough for now.

Same as above. Took mine to the local SC and they had resolved during the same afternoon. Works solid now.
