Hey yall wanted to post here and share my thoughts as someone who just weapped their cybertruck themselves WITHOUT a DIY precut vinyl kit.

Prep (Cleaning and removing trim) took about 3 hours, surprisingly the trim and wheel arches were so easy to remove. No issues on the prep.

Wrap took another 10 hours with 2 of us. We've wrapped one car together about 4 years ago, which took us 20+ hours for reference. Overall it was not difficult IF you stay patient and try some practice panels.

ill get some better pics tomorrow!

Thank you for this, gives me the confidence I needed. I’m planning on doing this as well. I did buy practice vinyl sheets to learn how to apply and cut the edges.

What would you say was the most difficult part?

What is the size roll of vinyl/ppf you purchased? And where did you buy it from? In the past I’ve not seen rolls large enough sold on Amazon.

Awesome .... some video of the process would be really helpful. I was planning to do same, I mean with this vehicle , it has to be super easy, no stretching needed at all. just paste stickers ..

I did some research, the best Vinyl option is VVIVID , Inoztek it THE BEST but you cant but it unless you are a authorized installer. So next option which I liked was VVIVID, I am going with Gloss finish ... the roll on Amazon costs $750 (including tax) .. you need 5ft X 75ft , Amazon did not show 75 Feet option so I got 100 Feet

https://www.amazon.com/stores/VVIVI...ef_=ast_bln&store_ref=bl_ast_dp_brandLogo_sto

TSportline sells DIY Precut Kit but to me its priced high, I mean roll costs 500 ish to them then 1300 $ for cutting is very high ... we need more players who start precut kits

Difficult? Nothing stands out as “more difficult” just time consuming. Id say the rear sails as they are just sooo big.

Great question. I opted for a 75 foot roll just in case, but probably had 20ish feet left if not more.

I ordered from Metro Restyling.

Metro Restyling. I left the wheel well liners on, however i think i wouldve saved a little bit of time if i took them off rather than working around them.

Could you post some more pictures (outside if possible)? I am considering this color also.
