I have nagged TESLA for 6 months now about when I would receive my redesigned wheelcovers, to no avail. I just had the truck in for some minor issues, and service was Outstanding. They also miraculously installed my new wheelcovers. My wife hates them, and I am eegghhhh?? They stick out too far from the actual tire itself. My aftermarket center hub covers looked far more sleek and functional. Any thoughts out there?

I love the side profile look. But might go back to the hub covers. I guess.

I like mine tbh. I bought some other wheels that also have aero covers and I do like that design more but honestly I like both.

I have the new covers and they squeak and crackle when at low speed - does anyone else have this issue??? Tesla did not have this issue during design of these covers??? Does anyone else hear these noises after installing the new designed wheel covers??

nope. you might want to check and make sure your lug nuts are tight.

Completely disagree. The wheel covers make the look of the truck. Without them it looks dinky. I have a service appt. after complaining for 9 months and finally they are going to install them. Then Dura-dressing for the tires and covers. Gonna look great and stay shiny for years.

I eagerly waited 8 months for the wheel covers and I love the way they look on the truck.
I wanted to love everything about them but…

Yes they do make more noise than without them on and it may not be lug nuts (not a bad idea to check just in case though)😉. Some people might not even notice but the “just turn up the music” comment is really old. Not everyone buys a car so they can listen to music to drown out noise.

After doing subsequent road tests with them on and off I found out they also exacerbate the driver side door vibration problem that I am having. And no, it is not the placement of the windshield wiper because I’ve tested that as well.

After all the excitement of getting them and wanting to love them, I have taken them off and have gone to the center hub covers and will have to be happy with those. I still prefer the look of the wheel covers though.

They are hideous. They are hubcaps on a $100k+ vehicle. You have to by a very low end trim civic to get hubcaps. The nicer the car, the more rotor and caliper you should see.
