I am a little worried that maybe my hitch could rip off my truck now…

Sigh…….

Don’t BANG your hitch on a bunch of culvert pipes……
Did you watch this latest video? It definitely seems the casting is weak…. Especially if there was another truck that had one shear off while towing.

Not going to lie I was in the camp of "the concrete broke the hitch, this would never happen in real life". But after watching his followup video and seeing the F150 frame take that abuse... Maybe they should make the CT casting thicker. Easier said than done. Im still getting my CT :D

I wanted to believe it was the concrete pipes too and I’m sure it had an impact but it’s clearly a deficiency Tesla must address ASAP! They cannot bury there heads in the sand on this one anymore!

We don't know it snapped. They said it hit a bump. Coulda just popped off the hitch. Also he didn't seem to drop it as far.

That all said, id like to see Tesla's response.

Totally agree I’d like to see them repeat the test they did with the f-150 and the excavator with a new Cybertruck and see what happens… I bet it will shear off but I guess that’s the trade off we get in shear strength for rigidity of the gigacasting. Hopefully they can come up with some kind of reinforcement for this. It is a liability thing…

More clickbait FUD. This guy makes money off of sensationalism, so I'm not sure why any of you would consider any point he's trying to make as valid.

A bent frame isn't a problem because it still drives/can be straightened with more abuse. Ok.... The wheel alignment is going to be off, possibly not correctable. Resale is going to be pretty bad with only Whistling Diesel fanboys buying trucks with bent frames.

Dieselgate "almost" pushed me to buy the Silverado EV RST over the Cybertruck. Ironically I didn't because the local Chevy dealership refused to budge on the price

In the end I'm happier with my Cybertruck (I even commute to work when I could work from home, just to drive it)

This Dieselgate part 2 video is equally as entertaining. Not really worried about my hitch breaking, more concerned about vehicle performance and a good supercharger network

I think it's good for us fan-boys-girls-people to relax and laugh at ourselves every once in a while. People are still desperate to buy Cybertrucks. Let the internet do its worst

Is it just me, or is this guy annoying as hell? I can see how the Cybertruck broke when he dropped it off the culvert. I can see how steel is more durable but will I ever stress my aluminum casting enough to cause it to break? I highly doubt it.
