I'm in the same boat. I paid a premium to have these features early, and they're still not here. I'm not really looking to take Tesla to arbitration (again), but something's gotta give. Here's what they've had on their site for a while:

I am in the same boat. But having said that I get why it has been deprioritized. I have Powerwall. So even if this software update was there would I need it / have I needed it yet ? No. So yeah grumble grumble but I think there is bigger fish to fry. Like autonomy.

I get prioritization when you're a small business barely able to keep the lights on. No excuses for a $500B company. Name another publicly traded company that's okay with their CEO running 5 other companies while being a politician?

I put in a service request earlier today, not sure that it will matter though. PowerShare equipment was installed last August and was told I just needed to be whitelisted and firmware would be pushed within a week or two since I don't have solar or powerwall. None of that has happened yet.

As long as the company is doing as well as it's doing, they aren't going to care. It seems the more he takes on the better all his companies do. He should probably start a few more, I need more to invest in.

I just got solar and powerwall installed. My installers said they don't even have guidance on how to wire the communication between powerwall and the wall charger yet and that they will come back out to run that wire when they get instructions. Maybe it will just work with wifi after an update but Im not sure. I had them connect my powerwall with Ethernet instead of wifi to be sure it stays connected. Currently though the wall connector is using wifi.

They also said that anyone that gets solar and a powerwall and a cybertruck is having to choose between powershare from the truck or using the powerwall. Absolutely no way to combine them yet.

Your hypothesis that if he was the CEO of Tesla only some “placebo” feature would be fast tracked doesn’t make sense to me. Seems to me you have a political bias towards him and anything not going your way you gonna blame him. There are 100K+ people working at Tesla. And they are focused on a mission: Ai and Robotics. That’s the priority, good bad or ugly. He has set the vision whether he’s there 100% time or not and he tracks its progress.

And the assertion that large companies don’t need prioritization seems naive. The hurdles in front of Tesla are bigger than $500B. Selling EVs profitably. Something no car company has done yet in over a decade. Read that again. A accomplishment still not replicated. Solving autonomy. Something no one in history of man kind has done yet. Solving real world robotics at scale. Something no one in history has done yet. Sure let’s stop these Herculean efforts to make a firmware update to the powerwall so that it can connect in series to the truck. Something no one needs atm.

I have absolutely no political bias against him. As a matter of fact, I appreciate everything he is doing to our federal government. Sure, every company needs to prioritize. Tesla could afford to pay a team of a few engineers to handle this low hanging fruit, even if it was priority #69.
