No Powershare Home Backup for me to select in software menu

I got the powershare gateway and charger installed yesterday. The manual states before using got to the CT touchscreen control>charging >powershare home backup. Problem is I don't see the option powershare home backup for me to select. I do have the latest software update.
I have registered the hardwares. Do I need to wait for a OTA update for Powershare to get that option in the charging page?

It has to be enabled remotely by Tesla.

I have no idea. I have power walls and thought I would have had a quick software update to enable powershare when I took delivery 8 months ago, but here we are waiting still (supposedly sometime in 2025). I'm just regurgitating what I've read.

Unfortunately I found out because I have solar and NO powerwall I have to wait for some firmware update that is rumored to come “by the end of the year.” I’m not holding my breath. Just kind of pissed I spend all that money to get it installed and I can’t use it.
On top of that I missed the $4k by 2 weeks so the full install was out of pocket.

I don’t know exactly. Maybe it’s the way they are trying to save money that makes them worth so much?
All I know is I waited almost 3 and 1/2 years for my beast, and was it my fault that they couldn’t make mine in time to get the $4k credit? One could argue that I placed the order way before they modified the credit. But again they did make me wait and wait and wait. If they would have made my truck just 2 weeks sooner I could have gotten the $4k credit. But I guess since I wasn’t a day one reservation holder all bets are off.
Either way I still paid for the power share but I still can’t use it. So this is more what I am so upset about. And trying to get ahold of someone who knows what’s going on to get an answer to why and when, good luck with that. Keep waiting. 2 more weeks!! Yay

Does anyone know if PowerShare allows your house to pull energy from the CT as if it were a Powerwall? Specifically, can it be used to power the home even without a grid outage?

Just curious as I have a PW3 and am looking forward to getting the software update for it in 2025

UPDATE!! This morning I noticed on my phone the Tesla app was asking me if I want to turn on the option for CT to power the house in event of a power outage. I went to the CT looked under charging page. Sure enough there's a option there to turn on the CT to power the house. I must have gotten the update without me knowing/no notification.
So I try the the powershare by turning the house main breaker off. The truck picked up the load. There was a momentary blink of the lights otherwise work as advertised.
I did have the inspector came over to inspect the powershare an sign it off. Not sure if that is just a coincident or not. Happy with the outcome.
