This is MAXTRAX’s solution: https://maxtraxus.com/collections/accessories/products/maxtrax-universal-flat-rack-mounting-kit

I have it, I’ve used it, it works, and it’s a PITA. Those are made of some sort of polymer/plastic and the OE crossbars have a slight bow in them, meaning when you tighten down the mounts then they get a slight bow in them which spreads apart the mounting pins and makes getting the boards on and off really hard. Not to mention getting the correct spacing between the two mounts - that also sucks.

I ordered this from Overland Kitted a few weeks ago: https://overlandkitted.com/products/overland-kitted-universal-mounting-plate

Overland Kitted is an official MAXTRAX supplier so I feel confident this will eliminate all my prior issues. I just haven’t installed it yet. I think you just gave me the kick in the pants to do it. I’ll post pics and thoughts when I do, but I have high hopes for this.

Thanks for responding!! That Overland kit did you order it with any of the hardware? Dude, I'm in the same boat! I saw the OEM CT team running them and loved the option to have them there when I need them, but I definitely want easier mounting on those bars.

Did you just do the mounting plate did you select any hardware options to mount it?

I got Rhino Rack HW. Whether that was the correct answer still remains to be seen lol but google assured me that was the way to go.
