Stainless steel is not oleophobic by nature. It can accumulate fingerprints and smudges quite easily. I've seen it in all situations, polish grain or texture... An eye sore. I like getting my car dirty but I also expect a 'like new look" after washing.
I wonder if the CT stainless steel sheet can be coated with a protective layer(s) for oil, dust, or strange mud or ice icicles? My best description would be "oleophobic and hydrophobic" coating. Basically some sort of polymer or ceramic super hydrophobic material.
Tesla mentioned a "special finish", hope it is not just gain or texture....
