Via Teslarati:

The Tesla Cybertruck showed up at Franz von Holzhausen’s alma mater, the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.

According to the Reddit user Logical Human, Tesla’s uniquely-designed Cybertruck was present during the Art Center’s alumni show. A Cybertruck prototype was displayed along with other vehicles. The Art Center College of Design is said to be one of the leading schools for automotive design.

Tesla’s Chief Designer Franz von Holzhausen was also present during the alumni show, as the Art Center is his alma mater. Holzhausen helped bring Elon Musk’s vision of a never-before-seen pickup truck come to life.

IIHS is not passing, waiving or overlooking Cybertruck stance projecting tire width beyond the fenders, flares included.

Its an optical illusion that measured only amounts to ½” but sticks out projecting its offroad-ready stance. Will be interesting to see the production variant.

Can somebody engineer the trailer hitch behind the License plate, pls. Ass dragging isn’t sexy nor a high tech solution but it is First Principles.

This is lazy OEM-era bolt-on dealer option that’s still with the industry. Its accepted practice that Tesla is following normal and ordinary OEM’s.

Having a High Hitch has it's own problems. A fold down license plat also is generally not legal. You have to have it visible.

We need more events like this.

More of them outside of California. I want to get a look at this damned truck before I buy it.

I’ll probably do it anyhow, but I’d like to know.

Doesn't have to be fold down. That's just how a number of vehicles had it set up back in the day.

How about using a Vertical Door Lift type contraption? I'm sure there are other alternatives available too.

This is how I hope the sail pillar storage works. Assuming it’s still a thing.

I probably better not go see it in person before hand... After this much anticip...........ation, I might just try driving off with it.

After all this time the wait seems more like this:

And that blocks the tailgate. So you would have to unhitch to open the tail gate?

I'm wondering if it's just inside the bed. I belieeeeeve.

Biggest reason is it won't have to meet the body crease peak so perfectly. Easier manufacturing? Wind would probably be beating through the outer body concept.
