Title say it all, except for the perfect record of no issues with my CT. Took a trip yesterday to Hershey PA then to Medieval castle in NY (Dinner and show, had a blast) Got home about 11:30pm and plugged the truck in. Woke up this am and truck charged to 67 % and had the message that it stopped unexpectedly. Ok, weird, but I hot the start charging button and it will not start charging again. Go outside, unplug the charger, door shuts and i hit the button to open the door, plug it in and nothing. Will not charge. Unplugged it again, shut the breakers off for the charger and turned them on again and plugged the cable into the truck again, nothing.
I still have 208 miles of range but this really sucks.
Any suggestions on a remedy?

Did you try power cycling (restarting) the truck?

how do I do that? The two button fix is only for the screen, I believe.

From the manual:
Although usually not needed, you can power off Cybertruck while sitting in the driver’s seat, provided the vehicle is not moving. Touch Controls > Safety > Power Off. Cybertruck automatically powers back on after a short period if you press the brake pedal or touch the touchscreen.

Worth a shot before opening services ticket

thanks. I will try that as soon as I run the heat for a few minutes to get it above 24.

Very interesting...I go outside to restart the truck and I thought just for the hell of it, I'm going to hit start charging again and the truck started charging I'm going to restart it anyway. That is giving me pause to think this truck could fail on a road trip I might be taking Wednesday to Florida. Now I hit restart and the heat is still on. The screen went out but the heat is still on. I thought it shut everything down?

Tesla Cybertruck Overnight, stopped charging and will no long charge 1000013434

I restarted the truck anyway and now everything seems to be normal, still have that feeling in the back of my brain that it could happen again

I can’t decode each one of those but the general feeling I get when I read the faults is that the charge wand wasn’t making a great connection with the truck- specially the Control Pilot pin. The little one on the lower right when looking onto the wand.

Your original post hasn’t made it clear if you have a HPWC with a NACS wand or third party EVSE setup or if you use the 1772 adapter. Any additional connections could be sus.

I can tell you in truth - I have cleaned my 6 year old gen 2 HPWC (NACS only) once for gross looking pins after lots of use but never any errors.

Me neither but what I think is that the charger lost communication with the truck or phone or something. And now it found it again.

Right on- I’m feeling like the wand didn’t get good connection - considering your gear is pretty new I’d just have a look down the pins in the wand and the truck just to ensure nothing obvious in there. Make sure the wand is good and seated in and honestly I’d take it on the trip no problem.

If you plan to use public L2 chargers- definitely solid connections are needed - I’ve absolutely seen rough shape L2 wands.

If you can get support on the phone (a tall order, I know), they can run remote diagnostics on both your truck and your wall connector and can tell you if anything is having problems. If they’re both fine, then yeah like FlykidCT said it’s probably just a bad connection.
