I have a circa Sept 2024 truck, 20k miles.

I think I have always had a whirring noise coming outta the passenger dash and passenger frunk region when actively charging.

Well now it seems to whir away any time I have the truck powered on. If I manually power it down it's gone but as soon as I tap the pedal it's back whirring away. I pulled out the frunk tub and definitely coming from the passenger side, something in there which I can't isolate.

Now there are 2 trucks in my neighborhood and I sat in both. None make this noise. Neither does the demo cybertruck at the shop.

But Tesla said that it's within normal range to have this noise but I think not. They said maybe it's the coolant pump or something but that answer isn't satisfactory. You hear it just sitting in the truck, at stop lights and faintly while driving.

Any one else have this and is there something in settings that I can tweak to remedy this? Im pretty sure I have most settings for outlets etc all off.

Well...I think I may have found my issue🤞🏼 Somehow(maybe via the last update)under the outlets and mods tab... the outlets was switched to ON.

Switched to OFF(pic).

Whirring stopped.

Hoping it stays that way.
Still curious what that noise is tho
I hope this helps someone else down the road.

That’s not normal, I have my outlets on 24-7. I use the 120 plug to charge my iPhones via Apple bricks and Apple MagSafe. You should take it to a different service center bc should be no noise or change when enabling or disabling those outlets.

Ok. Darn.
Can you do me a favor?
In a nice and quiet environment, with the doors and windows closed...hit that switch on and off and let me know if you hear something power on or off near passenger dashboard region. Hear it pretty good in front of hood as well.

Maybe anyone else checking this thread could take a crack at it. I will go check out the neighbors trucks. See if anything changes with switching that.

I wasn't very satisfied with my last service visit. They were disengaged/dismissive (overworked? SC was busy). Also said that I would have to pay $275 for a diagnostic fee if I decided to pursue it further.
Thanks

It's the coolant pump. You can bring up the service mode and verify it. Also turning on the bed outlets will force to start running too.
