When I walk away from the CT and it locks, folds the mirrors, and makes the audible sound within a few moments the passenger door comes ajar just like the door handle was depressed. It might not deploy as far but then the alarm is triggered. I shut it again and it opens again. As a temporary solution I just turn off the security system.

This has arisen after having the windows tinted today. The only thing they did that I was aware of was to do something in the door to prevent the window from dropping down slightly (thus preventing the tint film from being moved on the glass). Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can remedy this?

Thought I seen this post before, maybe a different person same issue tho. Maybe a reset on the computer.

if all else fails, duct tape and a service visit.

Thank you so much for that thread. I had searched the forum but nothing came up like this.

it was right on point and apparently several of owners who had recently widow tinting completed faced the same phantom door opening from the excess water in the door.

Yeah.. It happened to me. Mine has been ok for more than a day now. OP of that thread hasn't had it happen since which has been 3 months or so.

Same thing happened to me. Basically the tinting caused fluid to drip down into the door and fried some sort of components. Had to have both front door panels replaced. Ended up costing 1000 bucks, since it was an aftermarket tinting. Honestly I think it is a design flaw with the truck. So the lesson is if you are getting the windows tinted tell them to be very careful with fluid.

This just happened to me today. I’ve never had an issue with any other car I have ever tinted. I have a 2025 non foundation series , just got my window tinted and right after I left I stopped off at the supermarket. While inside my app told me the sentry mode was set off but I had no idea why. I walked out to my truck and my passenger side door was cracked open and my window was slightly down. It has done this 3 times since being at home now. Once when the truck was locked and 2 when unlocked. I’m praying it dries out and I won’t have to spend even more money on repairs 🤦‍♂️

I got my Cybertruck tinted yesterday and after parking it in my driveway, the driver door opened by itself and the alarm went off. This happened a few times until I found this forum. I left it open and turned off sentry mode. Today I decided to reboot the car and was able to leave it locked for a few hours without any issue, once the sun came out and warmed up the car I noticed the door issue and alarm going off again. I’m going to wait another day or two to see if the issue will go away.

Same thing happen to me. Tesla engineer told me to run dehumidifier inside overnight, pulled a lot of water the next morning and doors started working properly again. Apparently controllers aren't waterproof, sad.
