One of my biggest concerns was going to the country , I hunt, hike and camp. II figure in a pinch I could go to an rv park or something , any tips for getting away from civilization?

in town this should be perfect. feel like the free supercharging is a big deal, should be ok not rushing into home charging.

If you can afford it install the home charger. Preferably the wall charger, but to be really frugal you can just install a 240V outlet where you park it.

In the long run this will pay for itself as the supercharger costs on average $0.28 per kWh. At home it can be as low as $0.03 per kWh.
Supercharging is not bad, but it's nice to have your CT ready to go in the morning.

Use the trip planner in the app to see what it says your charge will be for those adventures. One thing that is nice about going off the main roads is if you are going slower, say 35 mph, compared to highway speeds you will use less juice over the same distance. You can plan a trip in the app changing the starting location and set the departure SoC. I does a great job of showing you the SoC for all the destinations you put in.

For example I just made up a trip in the app pic below). You can set the battery departure % to play with what the trio would look like. Don’t be worried about charging to 80 or 90% if you are going to head out and worried that it says you will be below a level you are comfortable with getting home. There may also be Superchargers closer to your camping location that you can “top off” before you get off the main roads. While camping be sure to disable Sentry Mode and close all devices that have Tesla apps specifically ones set up to be keys. They could keep the truck from sleeping thus consuming more battery.

Will post more thoughts later, need food!

Congrats on the great choice of getting a Beast. Had mine since late September and I honestly love it.

One thing to know: you will get a factory version of the software that may or may not have FSD. I’m guessing you will have FSD though. But if you see people talking about a new update, know that it may take a few weeks before you receive your update. Once you do, you’ll be on the “normal“ schedule, but don’t waste your time trying to get updates before they’re pushed to you. It’s normal for newer owners to wait a bit.

Best of luck to you. Best vehicle I’ve ever owned.
In order to get FSD pushed to the vehicle (if it doesn’t already have it), during delivery, ask if there’s a Tesla engineer on site. If yes, they can push it to your VIN right away. That’s what I did when I took delivery (I was transferring FSD from my Y and I wanted to make sure I got it on the CT).

tly, come to grips with the fact there's little to no maintenance. Here are the regular maintenance items: Add wiper fluid when prompted, change wiper blade when needed, rotate tires every 6000 miles and change when needed and change the cabin air filter every 2 years. That's pretty much it.
Don't forget alignment when needed as well.

I've been reading about wrap options, I'm thinking matte black, or a color shift of some kind. . As well as window tint to reduce heat inside, do you have wrap recommendations? Type/Color? self healing worth it?
If you’re going to wrap, do PPF vs vinyl, it’ll last much longer and look much nicer, yes it’ll cost more but you’ll be getting what you pay for. Personally I thought I’d be getting a full wrap for sure, had it done on my previous SUV, but I actually ended up really liking the stainless, I like cleaning it, and it’s not as bad as it’s made out to be in my honest opinion. I’d say before committing to a wrap just live with the truck for a little bit to see how you like it, the SS is so incredibly tough. Have fun picking up, you’re gonna be smiling for days!

I know some have said it is difficult to keep the Cybertruck clean. That has not been my experience however we do live in an area that does not get much rain, that may be the reason. It is one of the easiest vehicles I have owned to keep clean. Use a touchless car wash often, have hand washed it twice since pickup in May. Oh be ready for some off gassing of the plastic on the windshield for the first little while. I’d say it took a solid month before mine stopped. If you are parking inside it can help to keep the windows open for the first little while. Check your lug nuts, I had many loose and even lost one in the first 900 miles. One of my favorite accessories is the front truck cargo net. Keeps things from sliding all over. If the silver bolts and washers bug you it is easy to find some cheap replacements that are black.

I picked mine up on Monday. As the day approached, and I searched online for potential issues, I got more and more anxious and nervous that I'd made a bad decision. I nearly cancelled my order.
Almost a week into ownership, I am so very glad I went through with it - the Cybertruck is one of the best purchases I've ever made, and I have no regrets whatsoever. I spend most of my waking hours thinking of reasons to drive it. It is amazing!
Things I looked for:

90 degree rear door opening
Panel gaps (I'm not super fussy about this, and I think the nature of the stainless steel means no two trucks will be the same, and you'll get some slightly larger gaps here and there - I was looking for manufacturing errors)
All accessories included (also got an FS)
FSD/ latest software (mine came with both)
Wheel caps (they don't attach them here, and all were in the bed)
Test tonneau
Interior inspection just to make sure there are no marks (mine has the white interior trim)

The only thing I've since noticed is the tonneau applique is not flush on one side - that's the plastic piece at the very back of the roof, just before the bed, and you can't tell unless you climb into the bed.

As others have said, steering takes a bit of getting used to, as your brain creates a model of how rear steering affects turning radius (I finally worked up the courage to go through some narrow drive thrus and the truck made it without issue, but I learned you have to turn a bit later than you'll think). The steer-by-wire is truly amazing.

And one pedal driving took me 30 minutes to adjust to - you just always want to be smooth with your pedal motions - the truck doesn't roll freely when you take your foot off, and instead slows quite rapidly. Don't take your foot off the pedal quickly if you're on snow or ice! I've got it dialed in now. I strongly suggest you enable the setting that uses the brakes to simulate the effect when regeneration isn't occurring, so that you get a consistent experience (that setting was on when we picked ours up).

Get ready for lots of looks, pictures, conversations! Everywhere I go, people are stunned by the Cybertruck. I've encountered no hate for it, mostly just curiosity or awe (I had a woman roll down her window next to me at a stop light and say, "That's so cool! But there are no door handles - how do you get into it?"). Yesterday I had a long conversation with a guy who just bought a Silverado diesel and regrets it after seeing and learning about the Cybertruck.

FSD takes some getting used to - there's a trust that builds up as you get more confident in it. It is magical. But the truck is so fun to drive, I mostly don't use FSD.

Honestly, I'm so happy with the truck. You will be too. Instantly, you'll think of ICE cars as obsolete.

I priced out a charger for the garage, but have been trying a regular plug and that's working, with an occasional trip to the supercharger.

Definitely take measurements of your garage, if you have one - my Cybertruck needs to go in diagonally in order to fit (I measured before I ordered it, and knew that would be the case). It is a long vehicle!

Congratulations - you're going to love this!

All the information you need is in this forum.
True, all the information you need is in this forum. The problem is you have to wade through the 80% that is either just plain wrong or just useless noise. Asking the question anew doesn't fix that problem because you will still get a bunch of wrong answers along with the correct ones.

Only the hardcore forum people and the haters will stick around, most actual owners are using their Cybertrucks without any forum interaction. Some were here when they took delivery, and then time constraints and all the fake narratives, noise and ugliness drove them off.

Of course, I was coming from a 20+ year old >200k mile pickup. Depending what you drive now, there may be less of a difference.
I've found that the Cybertruck will make even the newest, best equipped pickup feel like an antiquated pile of rusty bolts. It's how disconnected ICE trucks feel from the driver, the Cybertruck feels like it's got a direct line to your brain. It only takes most people a half-hour to a couple of hours to get in the swing of things. Drive it for a couple of weeks and you will wonder why even new ICE trucks feel so clunky and nebulous, things you never noticed before becoming accustomed to the way the Cybertruck drives.

Oh yeah, and figure out home charging.
I assume you mean to get a home charging setup, preferably a Wall Connector. People without personal charging miss out on the best thing about owning an EV. If you can't plug it in where you live or work you are like all those poor SOBs that have to regularly visit gas stations.

@Tony2times tap "Location" in the app. You'll see a search bar with "Navigation" near the bottom. Enter an address there and it will show your route and superchargers along the way.
