We had a storm two nights ago that caused a power outage (along with 500,000 neighbors). We were spared the outage because of my Cybertruck and PowerShare. Except for the A/C, everything in the house, plus the pool equipment, functioned perfectly for the 18+ hours that our power was down. The only downside: I couldn’t drive my truck.

Glad to hear, certainly the use case for powershare. I have mine scheduled but they have no idea when they will get the equipment to come actually install... I'm running a long cord into my utility room to plug into my dryer, which works, but as it gets hotter I would like to leave that door closed to the garage, but still worth the trade off to drive the CT!

We were fortunate that the storm did not hit Prosper but many tornados affected Celina residents. Glad you know the Cybertruck was able to provide you all power. ERCOT needs serious rethinking and restrategy.
ERCOT is a walled garden, existing power producers don't want to let other interconnections because then there would be real competition on the wholesale level. Even a company wanting to add a battery to the grid gets regulated as if they were a power generator.

Unrelated…I’m doing a purple black iridescent wrap on my CT. Which wrap is this you used? Looks very similar to mine.

was there not enough voltage for the AC or you simply didnt want to deplete the batteries?

This was a major plus for the Cybertruck. I remember a couple of years ago Elon was asked about having this in the Cybertruck, and he basically balked at the idea. He originally didn't want the Cybertruck to be capable of this, which upset a lot of people on here at the time. This is one of the reasons why competition is a good thing. I personally feel that the Ford Lightning influenced the decision for Tesla to give the Cybertruck this capability.
Win for the consumer!! Glad everything worked for you, and your family!!!

You would think for the money you spend that you'd be able to PowerShare AND drive the truck (PEH)

The A/C was excluded from the PowerShare setup- the reason given was that the power requirement was too high. Furnace still works though.

Powershare software isn't live yet, so how did it help you? It do you just mean the outlets on the truck helped you?
No, PowerShare is active on my car. It was plugged into the charger, and when the power failed, the house stayed lit.
