Maybe I am late to the party on this one...But, I was watching Ryan Shaw's video the other day. See clip. According to a suppler, the start date of production is going to be October 2nd of 2023. This could be a random date put into the spreadsheet as a placeholder, but it does support other rumors that have been going around about production starting late next year. So, according to the tracker, I was going to be getting my Christmas Eve on 2024, I guess I have to push that back another 10 months!

Musk did say production is 2023

But a month or more prior, he indicated maybe some before the end of 22.
An October date would be close to the end of 22.

I do think the ramp of the model Y is taking battery and brain cells away from the CT launch, but unless there is a real issue with battery production volume, the CT profits should be compelling enough to fastrack its production.

I still think soon after July, we will start to see more testing and release of pertinent information. Emails to finalise the order will arrive before we know it. We are a just few sleeps away. In my case hopefully around 700 sleeps lol

That document (Auto Forecast Solutions spreadsheet) which has been going around for a while now mentions October 2nd 2023. That organisation (AFS) does not have any more idea than you or I when the Cybertruck will start production. Their business is to try to Forecast but I wouldn't put too much weight into their data.

That Youtuber (Ryan Shaw) kept calling it "official" when referring to the document but there is nothing official about it. Like Crissa said, it's just another rumor.

The only official word is what everybody has heard directly from Elon which is that production will be next year.

October 2023 seems so far away, but honestly at this point I think it's optimistic.

The Cybertruck production area in Austin is an empty shell. If they started building the line today I would expect it to take at least 6 months before any sort of production could begin. Probably closer to a year. After production begins I expect at least another 6 months to pass before customer vehicles could be produced. That puts us out to April of 2023, IF they started building the production line now. But there doesn't seem to be any action there. So yeah... I'm crossing my fingers for October.

I'd be curious if they have been piloting build equip in Fremont which will simply move and scale in Texas. I'm almost positive there is somewhat of a build line or turn key ready build solution. I don't think it would take 6 months to get this online, but I'm hopeful and not thinking logically.. ...

Don't believe anything you hear, and only half of what you see.

Until we start witnessing CT specific production equipment on-site I wouldn't even bother speculating about production dates at this point.

For the model Y, we started to see dozens of shells and castings popping up in Austin. We saw MY casting machines in place. We saw bodies in white shuffling around.

We aren't to that point yet, so my jimmies shall remain unrustled.

Ryan Shaw videos are mostly filled with negative slants and jabs at Tesla. He has no clue.

I saw that video this morning and as sad and alarming as it is, I am going to hope that your guess is correct and that all of those dates are both guestimates and mutable (as all spreadsheet entries tend to be). I have to say that when Elon and Franz apologized for the CT production delay at the Cyber Rodeo I didn't think that they meant a *2 YEAR* delay (production was supposed to start last winter). I will continue to hope for a much earlier production start and others can be optimistic or pessimistic as they choose.
