I was horrified by how severe the wrist slicing injury the user @bdesign went through.

Even the edges are not really knife sharp but with enough force, it can cut through fairly easy.

So I went to Amazon found this pvc trim seal:

It is a snug fit since it fits 1-1.5mm , the panel is 1.4 mm. I didnā€™t use any adhesives, so I will see how long it will be stay there.

These function similarly to the edge fasteners we are developing for our colored covers. We figured they will help dull those sharp edges in addition to preventing the panel covers from blowing off at high speeds, but of course, with a lower profile and not so obvious as these in the pictures.

That looks like crap sorry, I felt my truck and edges are not sharp enough to cut. Dude grab a fine file and take the edge off if you are afraid
I agree, looks tacky. Might as well go full Autozone special and get the chrome door edge guard.

Please donā€™t do that, you are taking F35 look and making it into auto zone Honda civic.

I would agree, but irreversible filing a original metal doesn't seem a good way either. I don't know the injury was due to THAT panel extremely sharp or the edge of all trucks are the sameā€¦

My plan (if my truck has any sharp edges/burs) is to just take a file and break the edge slightly. Very easy reworking that shouldn't take more than 5 minutes for the whole truck.

The fact that I'm willing to take a file to a brand new $80k truck's exterior is what makes the Cybertruck so badass!

They will be far less obvious, matched to color, and be completely optional to install. Most people should never need to use them at regular driving speed.

I'm planning on putting boat hatch seals on most of these edges, though probably not the tailgate, just doors and frunk. It's gonna look tacky AF! Stoked.

Itā€™s your truck, besides us ocd forum folk, most casual observers will never know or notice. They will be in awe just looking at the rolling structure. Leave your edge guards.

Having already watched one of my kids poke herself really good on the tailgate, Iā€™m sure Iā€™ll be doing something like this in the future, regardless of how it looks. It should have the added benefit of helping keep the wrap on and from fraying at the edges.

Yes - people with smaller kids will probably need to do something to make sure they don't get cuts. I'm sure I'll.

You can always just take their scissors away.
