Not sure if these are Tesla things or unique to cybertruck, but these quirks are annoying me as a first-time Tesla owner:

If a door is not fully closed alarm will ding but it won't tell you which door. All of my other vehicles do this.

B pillar camera won't show up anywhere on screen. Not sure what that camera does. When select between front and rear view on screen it should switch to the B pillar camera for front view, instead I see the camera at the front but still shows my rear tires. Silly.

When in Driver Door lock mode no way to open other doors without opening driver door first. Miss my key fob... It rains daily in Florida, not being able to open anything other than front door in pouring rain is ridiculous. App should allow all doors to unlock like fobs do with every other auto manufacturer.

Just turn off the Driver Door Lock from the truck's center screen and all doors will unlock when the key is near the vehicle. You cannot do this from the phone app.

From the Owners Manual:
Driver Door Unlock Mode
Enabling Controls > Locks > Driver Door Unlock Mode only unlocks the driver's door when you first unlock Cybertruck. To unlock the remaining doors, long press the interior door open button, or use the touchscreen or mobile app.
Disabling Driver Door Unlock Mode unlocks all doors, the powered frunk, and the tailgate when you first unlock Cybertruck.

IMO, most cars with a fob have the option of only unlocking the driver's door; but an actual fob allows for a double press to unlock all doors. You only have a keycard or an app, so there's no quite as easy way to do that with just one extra button press, but I gather you can unlock all doors with the app, even with driver door unlock mode set. With driver door only unlock set on my 2018 Kia for instance, fob proximity is sensed and I only have to push the door handle button, but that just unlocks the driver door. A double press on the fob unlock button would unlock all doors.

The point of an option to only unlock the driver's door is that if someone that feels vulnerable and often drives alone is driving, they're safer against carjacking if only the driver's door unlocks; once they're in and locked, they're fairly good, unless someone pulls a gun on them. That might for instance apply to a small woman (with or without young kids in the car). Or a fragile looking guy, for that matter.

If they could detect a long press on the driver's side pillar touch area, they could make that more convenient with a software update, but I don't know whether the hardware can do that.

Unfortunately, the mobile app DOES NOT override driver door lock mode, so you cannot unlock all doors with the mobile app. If you could that would completely solve my problem. Then it would function like a normal key fob for any other car.

Then either the software is wrong or the manual is wrong. Won’t get fixed unless someone reports it.

[Pretty sure you can buy a still by a fob from Tesla. I’ve bought a few over the years and you can simultaneously attach them to multiple cars can’t specifically speak to whether it unlocks all the doors at the same time not issue for me.]

👆🏾***NOPE! Decided to go and try to add my fob and apparently this doesn’t work on the Cybertruck and perhaps it doesn’t work on the refreshed S or X either. It expressly says in the store that it is for the model 3 and model Y now - which is crazy because initially, it was something that came with the model S and is still shaped like the model S. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Notwithstanding, your car shows you on the screen the state of everything that opens (frunk, tailgate, doors) in 3D, on the screen. If the door is only slightly ajar to the extent that the car doesn’t know it’s opened, then that behavior wouldn’t be different in any other car that I’ve ever owned.

Your car shows you on the screen the state of everything that opens (frunk, tailgate, doors) in 3D, no less) on the screen. Not really sure what this part of the rant is about. When I looked, people said that fobs for other Teslas don’t work on the Cybertruck.

not sure what driver door lock mode is but all my doors open from the outside
So, I work alot at night and go to my vehicle at 2am, it's extremely unsafe to have all of your doors unlocked at the same time because someone could jump in your passenger or back door... This is something every auto manufacturer has realized and why every other car other than Tesla does not unlock all of your doors at once when you approach it. This is why I want it in driver door lock mode, but then there's no way to unlock all of your doors unless you go to the driver door first which is ridiculously dumb. If it's pouring rain it's a huge inconvenience if I don't want to go to the driver door first.

And they are correct (see my update to my post). I can confirm it does not work on the cybertruck. And as an update to me saying that it might not even work on the refreshed model S and X, according to Google it does. I will check this with my 2023 model S plaid at a later time, but that doesn’t help you.

Can’t really think of any good reason why they wouldn’t have just allowed it to work with the Cybertruck except for aesthetics (maybe there’s a security/hacking concern).

Hopefully, Elon has a cybertruck shaped “cyberfob” coming at some point.

I really like the phone key, phone is the fob, and think it would be super simple to make the lock button in the app open all of the doors...
No need to carry a separate fob.

I now realize that if you put it back in park you can see which door is open, and that might be a safety feature so someone doesn't open and close their door while the truck is moving.... When out of Park it truly is a generic idiot light.

Well seems like the quirks are a matter of your preference. My truck tells me which doors are open and which are not.

the front camera mode is meant for parking not for driving around town so the b pillar camera would be useless. You would want to see the rear wheel when driving into lots and avoid bf curbs.

not sure what you mean about door lock mode. When I stop the car, any of my passengers can open the doors without my having to toggle any lock/unlock modes. Maybe you just need to take a closer look at what’s happening because what your describing neg is not normal.

One annoying quirk that I have found is that the "Walk Away Auto Lock" function doesn't always seem to work. I love driving with all of my windows down and when I park to go into the store, I love that as I walk away, a sound notifies me that the truck is locking and rolling up all of the windows automatically. However, this isn't always happening. Often I find myself standing in front of the store entrance, standing there with my phone, locking my doors manually, rolling up the windows manually and looking like a tool turkey-necking at my truck to make sure the windows went up. I can't seem to reliably replicate when it works and when it doesn't. Also to note is that I think it WILL eventually auto lock and roll up the windows if left long enough.
