I don't believe I am in need of an 80 amp charger unless I'm taxying (which I won't be). I currently have a 50 mile total daily commute, but even if I had a 1 hour commute one way, the gen3 charger should handle that with ease.
If I may make fun of myself: I almost gave up on the CT for the M Y P due to ice car dramas but reversed course. However, I still committed up to the point of having a gen3 wall connector installed. I had to have 6 awg THHN ran to my garage from the service box located on the opposite side of the home, approximately 50 feet away (3 wall lengths - I forget how long exactly).
Set me back $1550 for the electrician to install w/ conduit. A bit painful I suppose, especially if this thing never supports V2H (I'm not sure if it can btw; I just assume it's possible via power sharing path?).
