Any one else feel like regen needs to increased for braking? I know this CT is so much heavier than my M3P, but one pedal driving is not that great. Needing to use brakes 100% more, since I rarely touch the brakes in my M3P. I keep thinking that something might be wrong but this is a tank and needs a lot more energy to stop.

That would suck as that’s one of the best things about driving a Tesla. I wonder if the CB has more regen than the CT with one more motor? Might be interesting to have someone familiar with driving both chime in.

hopefully this will be fixed with an OTA update.

When the Model S was brand new it would roll backwards on hills from a stop like a manual transmission with the clutch engaged if you didn’t have your foot on the brake which made starts from stoplights on streets with heavy inclines (like in San Francisco) quite challenging because it was such a heavy car and would just roll backwards immediately when you tried to start accelerating. Then they had an OTA release and it introduced the hill holding feature and it was a completely different driving experience (for the better) overnight.

Perhaps the regen on the CT is still being tweaked. Your theory about the weight makes perfect sense but I would think Tesla would want a consistent driving experience across its product line so hopefully this will get a fix. Keep us posted and thanks for mentioning this.

Cheers

Def has a harder regen, but maybe it's just the physics of a heavier vehicle as opposed to greater regen?

More motors more Regen.

I do remember seeing something about the CT having variable Regen depending on load.
