Do we have any photos of the models being tested with side mirrors removed? It was promised that they would be removable.

The side mirrors seem to connect to the door in front of the interior panel/armrest where the door meets the door jam. If the mirrors wrap around the top of the top sill, we could see 2 screws on the interior of the door with a connector that could be disconnected and tucked into the door structure. This would take like 5 mins to remove/reattach both. This seems like a easy "promise" aka Elon tweet to satisfy.

problem is, the SS door panel has a rather sizeable cut-out for the rearview attachment, and that cutout is skyward (eg rain etc) facing [seen in photo below at bottom right of panel]

So, if they *are* removable, will require some plug piece that fills this cut-out

I’ve said for some time that this cut-out, to me, suggests the side mirrors aren’t either easily or cleanly removable as an OEM feature

I remember that cutout now but a plug would work.

I don’t expect mirrorless will be widely used yet but it would look better for cars and coffee, better for off-roading on tight trails and more efficient if/when mirrorless is legal.

If I get comfortable with electronic mirrors I’ll be riding with no mirrors and no BAW during the summer months.

Haven't seen anything, for towing I need extended mirrors, I expect to be able to replace. Will be shocked if they are fixed.

And hoping the Tesla towing option will extend and retract at the push of a button. I expect nothing less for the CT.

I think "if" the side mirrors are removable then the side stalk arms will remain to house the review cameras further away from the vehicle so they comply with the electronic mirror rules?

Ideally, those same camera mounts on the side mirrors would also pull out so they can see past a wider trailer.

Those pictures just hide the mirrors that are mounted on the front door further to the right in the photo?
Not really sure what's going on there, but I imagine it would look similar to this.

Cybertruck mirrors are mounted to the right of the triangular window, on the front part of the door panel, and are not visible in the photo you posted, but are still there behind the frame of the drive-thru window.
