Good afternoon,

TL;DR: I need identification and a source for the breakable parts involved when installing the Rocker Panel Assembly including clips for the fender flares.

I unfortunately partially ripped off my right rear Rocker Panel Fairing. (I wasn't used to the turning radius of the truck and hit it on a concrete peninsula in a parking lot.)

When I had the truck in for installation of the tent, I asked about getting the part and they were willing to sell me the part with or without installation. Being the DIY'er that I am, I purchased the part with the intention of installing it myself to save money on the labor charge.

This was a mistake, since proper installation requires removal of the entire Rocker Panel Assembly.

It looks like to do this properly, one side of each fender flare needs to be unclipped and some additional clips will need to be removed before using a socket wrench for some other work.

Has anyone else gone through this process and know where to get the clips? I'm worried that I'll break parts and then have a partially disassembled truck and be scrambling to find them.

In hindsight, I should have had them do this of course. But now the quickest service appointment is 16 days out so I'm committed to doing it myself.

Appreciate any help that can be provided!

Have you already checked the Service Manual?
Yes- that's where I found the exact procedure for removal/replacement. Unfortunately, it just mentions "clips" in a generic manner. It's possible the exact ones are buried in some other part of the manual that I haven't been able to locate yet. I should be all set though with the part kit that misdemeanor provided above.

yeah, I noticed that as well. Unfortunately I don't think they have that level of detail added in. At least not that we can see.

Coincidentally, I did this yesterday. At the Cyber Rodeo, my passenger-side rear faring took a hit and was dangling a bit.

The fender flares should pop right off (thank god vandals don't know this lol) but out of caution, I used trim-removal tools to gently pry it away. You only need to pop the clips up to about the top of the flare to access the 10mm bolt. Complete removal is not necessary.

Also, I only removed the 4 rearmost bolts underneath the rocker panel, which gave me enough wiggle-room to extract the rear fairing. In retrospect, it might have been simpler to take the whole thing off anyway, because the four T20 torx were difficult to access, but I managed.

As it turns out, the only damage to the fairing was a single threaded post that was torn off. I super-glued it back on, and voilà. :D
