Hi all,
Like many on this forum, I found myself a bit disappointed in the announced pricing and range vs what was shown four years ago. I still believe the Cybertruck has a lot of value, but I was really hoping for something in the 400+ mile range. Given the hand we were dealt yesterday, I've been trying to find ways I could justify the expense and had a question I haven't seen asked yet. Since the Cybertruck will be the first Tesla to support their new Powershare capability (https://www.tesla.com/powershare), I'm curious if anyone knows enough about the Residential Clean Energy Credit (https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/residential-clean-energy-credit) to know if that could be used against a Cybertruck purchase. The reason I ask is because there are other products coming to market, specifically the Pebble Flow (https://pebblelife.com/preorder) and Lightship L1 (https://lightshiprv.com/reserve) where they specifically mention a possible tax credit because these units can be used as battery backup for your home. My question is whether anyone on these forums is a CPA or knows a CPA who may have some thoughts on whether the Cybertruck might qualify as well.
