Seems pretty unlikely. Ive never been a super early Tesla getter. But with my cars, I got an email when it was time to proceed. Only time a rep called me was if the configuration I wanted wasn't available yet but something similar was in the shop.

And what does complete my purchase mean? With my cars we brought a check to the pickup.

You might be right. But, this might be related to the launch event and first deliveries. So… 🤷‍♂️

Interesting. IF this is true, then both of the trackers we've been using are no good. In either case, someone with any RN starting with 112745 would get their truck 4 months after launch, at the earliest. Even if this guy were 112745000, the assumption that reservations started at 112744100 and went one at a time** would be inaccurate if what he's saying is true.

I guess we'll find out on November 30!

**I've read the assertion that all Tesla vehicles are tracked using the same reservation numbering system, but I highly doubt that anyone struggled through the Tesla website on the night of the CT reveal to order a Model 3. It's probably a safe bet to assume that the first 100,000 RNs after 112744100 are for the CT.

I’d pay around $100K for the specs from reveal night, but with the way things are looking $100K sounds absurd.

I’d bet (metaphorically) that we see
  • CT (Dual) 340Mi for $69K
  • CT Performance (Tri) 320Mi for $79K
Note: This is pure speculation on my part and if anything possibly on the high side based on EM’s previous commentary ☕

You can’t say that the F150 lighting is expensive at 50K and then the Cybertruck is twice as much.. doesn’t make sense
he didn’t say Lightning is expensive at 50K

a CT, with all its gadgets, and a 300+ mile range doesn’t price-match a stripped down Lightning Pro

like-for-like, the CT range and specs are at least comparable to a Lightning Lariat LR, which was ~90K at the time Musk tweeted that

(none of which is to vouch for that post or the claimed price, only to say this ‘$50k Lightning’ reasoning doesn’t land)

If the Tri only has 320 miles, vs 500 (or at least well into 400), I'll burn all my Tesla stock and drive my Y over a cliff. That's how pissed I'll be. Don't let me down, Tesla!
