Tesla will to need to scale 4680 battery cell production to levels never seen before. The 4680 production numbers will need to be astronomical.

Experts estimate that the Dual Motor CT would need roughly 900 4680 cells. Elon wants to ramp up to 200,000 CT‘s a year. Tesla would need to produce a staggering 180,000,000 cells just for the DM Cybertruck alone. That’s roughly 3,500,000 battery cells per week, 500,000 cells per day. And those estimates are for the standard 300 mile range battery pack.

Nearly 4 billion AA alkaline batteries are produced annually, more than 10x of what Tesla needs for Cybertruck.

WHAT IF it’s true?
Cybertruck Configurations = Dual, Quad, and PLAID

NO Single for Cybertruck? TRUE maybe…

It doesn’t have to mean a single motor pickup is dead, cuz’ Wolverine Cybertruck! All OG Single Cybertruck RNowners will be able to get a WolverineCT. Many will prefer.

Single motor is Tesla strategically pulling a punch from the OG Cybertruck. Only to setup Wolverine with more oomph in a lighter, less expense and a better performative Wolverine variant. A variant it can sell the most of worldwide.

Valid concern about hacking.

I'll just point out that Tesla currently offers software unlocking of fsd. Haven't done a deep dive research on it, but I haven't heard of anyone hacking to unlock fsd without paying for it.

Doesn't mean someone wouldn't figure it out, just don't see it being a big concern. Every hardware manufacturer deals with it. The ones with the best tech seem to have no problem handling it. If they can't prevent it, they may find ways to catch you and brick your expensive toy or ban/sue you.

The fear of bricking your 50-100k car should be enough to dissuade all but the most adventurous.

Coming from someone who is willing to and has applied software hacks to pretty much everything I own that is hackable, i wouldn't touch that can of worms with a 100ft pole with a huge purchase like that on the line.
Sorry for the late post…

So… When the singularity arrives, will it hack the vehicle to turn on FSD so that it gets to drive where it wants to go? I imagine a young singularity wanting to explore the world on its own. A Tesla vehicle with good cameras and mobility would be an ideal platform for exploring the world.

If i have 400-500 miles range and even 6s 0-60 i will be happy. Don’t care about performance, i need a TRUCK! Not a sport car! But i will take any numbers 0-60 if it speeds up production.
trueee, i can care less about speed. i just want the range. i constantly take trips and 300 miles is not enough. my moms model y does 0-60 in 5 seconds. id be happy with a ct doing that #. more than enough for me

Elon said quad won't just turn the back wheels by a few degrees, but will actually be able to manoeuvre like a crab .

Does that mean it will actually go sideways ? Like crab ?

I can't see room in the wheel well, but what if it was fully raised ?

What angle do we think it is capable of ?
