Yeah, looks pretty good from a distance.

But here's the thing: I don't think the Cybertruck is beautiful because I like the way it looks, I think it's beautiful because I like the way it's built and engineered. Form follows function.

This monstrosity is bolted on top of a legacy body on frame Sequoia. And that fact bothers me more than the fact that it's necessary to turn a key to start an ICE engine to make it go. Even if it had a state-of-the-art EV drivetrain, I could not like this truck. The chassis is antiquated and it's going to drive like it's antiquated. with all the built-in limitations.

Sometimes the parts you can't see are more important than those you can! This is the lesson legacy auto never really took to heart and why I've had a dim view of mass-produced cars until Tesla came along and changed the rules. Not only are cars about to become significantly cheaper for what you get, they are going to become much more capable and durable. By 2030 you won't even be able to recognize the auto industry.

That said, kudos to the people that did the hard work to make such a visually convincing counterfeit!

Leave it to some Russians, That cool as hell. I couldn't care less if it's an EV or not. It's their Cybertruck. The motorized vault cover was icing on top!
I just think it's awesome that someone wanted a vehicle that looked like that, so they built one!!!!

That is more like ICE inside ;). Notice there are no mirrors or wiper. I guess given what is going on, lack of those features don’t seem that deadly to them after all. I thought an American reservation holders would do this first. Love to see if The American CT can beat Russian/Japanese CT’s range.

Tis hilarious. I understand the presenters snickles when he first saw it. The effort can be seen in the detail.

Kudos to the guy for building it.

The Tesla Cybertruck is more than just the shape. It’s really what is beneath the sheet metal that makes up the real Cybertruck. Not even the Russians can copy that.

It was built based on Tundra frame, not Sequoia. They had to make it longer, because original Tundra frame was short. They kept all sizes from OG. Also, they used 2mm stainless steel, and had so many trouble to polish it and hide all weldings. The windshield is 1 cm thick. The side door windows cannot be rolled down because of the shape of the Cybertruck and they said they are pretty sure the CT Musk drove in CA have same solid windows (cannot be rolled down). Also, they mentioned it will be converted to EV. They used Tundra to see if it works or not, shape it, and test it. They plan to have interior close to OG. Spent around 3 mln Russian Rubles (around $50k)
