If true, exactly as I predicted…

The best part in the following videos comes when the Cybertruck uses its 4-wheel steeringto take a sharp right turn. The 4-wheel steering enables the large Tesla Cybertruck to have a short and precise turning radius. However, the 4-wheel steering option will only be available in the top-of-the-line Quad-Motor variant of the Cybertruck.”

Hmmmm, not to sure about that. Do we think all the posts we have seem with 4 wheel steering have been Quad motor? Don't think so.

Unless they are just testing it on available dual and tri but production dual and tri will not have it, but??

Quad motor. Sure, just like the Model S Plaid, Model X Plaid, and the Semi.

Never heard of this publication. have they said anything reliable before? These sensationalist sites are a dime a dozzen, probably auto generated with AI for clicks.

I'm fairly sure there will be two trims on release, as all testing has been done in pairs so far. We already know duals is one of those, i am guessing tri is the second. Dont think there's room for a quad yet, and most of the prototypes we've seen have shown off 4ws.. I wouldn't give this "news" any weight, we will know for sure soon enough.

Somehow I have my doubts about this. Ignoring the issue about not knowing if there even will be a quad, it doesn’t make sense.

Tesla isn’t big on “options”. As I understand their processes, the fewer options, the faster and easier you can make cars. Looking at all the differences required to make 4WS work, you would almost (and possibly) need a different assembly line. That isn’t their style so far. It doesn’t fit their business model.

What are the options on the current vehicles? On the M3, you have two drivetrains, single and dual motor. Different color interior, all of 2 choices. The only difference is the color. All the shapes and features are the same. On the dual line, you have dual and dual performance. What are those differences? Pedals on the interior, exact same body, add the little spoiler strip. different software enabled. If you get the dual, you get a choice of 2 tire/rim sets. Pretty darn straight forward in my mind.

If you want a comparison, go do a “build my own” on a Porsche Taycan and a Carrera. Not only are there dozens of options, there are 5, 6, or more choices in each model.

I think about all the physical differences between 2 and 4 wheel steering, this doesn’t make sense. And from the initial reveal (and every tweet since then) there has been no indication of a technical difference between the versions. And the biggest difference between the motor/battery pack versions, is the number of motors and battery packs. That’s it. It doesn’t fit with the company.

Tesla Oracle is a fairly old imprint that publishes Tesla rumors.

I don't know that it does any original reporting, and I don't follow it. There's alot of repeaters out there.

Agreed. When I got my early M3 in 2018 (28 k made), there were no choices - just RWD long range. IMO there will be at most two options 2 motor or 3 motor or more likely just one option.
