Sadly the FUD is winning.

I had 4 people come up to me in the last 2 days to warn me about the recall! I can't believe the MSM FUD worked so well :(

I tell them that the day before it was announced, there was a Ford recall for 500,000 vehicles that could CATCH FIRE. Had they heard of that? After they say no, I tell them that only 3,000 Cybertrucks were affected, and only 2 actually had the problem. They usually go "wow".

For anyone new to Tesla, this kind of stuff has been going on for years. I was just hoping it was finally fading away...

It’s definitely working, I didn’t know about the ford recall but the CT recall was everywhere.

The other day I told a guy that I finally got an invitation to configure/order and he said the same thing. The funny thing is that this guy used to work at Tesla and owns 2 Teslas. His wife loved her M3 so much that we bought one - back in 2019! We now have 2 Teslas and love them. The FUD runs way too deep.

Yeah I think this will always be a problem with Tesla until Musk shuts his piehole once in a while….😂😂

Glad I’m not the only one noticing it. The Cybertruck has now become a fully mainstream thing to hate on.

It seems to have gone from poking fun to actual hatred.

Given it’s a car, it’s a little weird to me why people care that much about a car somebody else purchased, but they do.

LIKE IT OR NOT ... our Cybertrucks are the man bites dog story of the hour. Nobody gives a $hit about Volvo accelerator pedals ...

It bothers you someone was nice to tell you about a safety travel?
I get what your saying but if the OPs experience with this recall thing has been anything like mine, people have a big shit eating grin on their face when the ask/talk about it. They aren’t concerned about me. They’re just trying to bust my balls…. Asshats 😂😂

I would first clarify to them that watching the MSM is a sheep waste of time, because MSM will always be biased trying to smear Tesla at the behest of the failing competition paying them advertising revenue.

I hope you educated them on the Tesla facts at least, if not a little more. The fact they came to you might mean they wanted to get your experience or verification, so maybe that's a little hopeful.

I don't smoke or vape. I don't watch MSM. I'm thankful for bad habits I've been able to stay away from.

Your example is actually a highlight of how FUD will eventually erode trust of the sources that started it. Those individuals now have to question the information they are getting from their sources.

Most of my neighbors have no idea what the CT is. I get asked what is it and who makes it at least 3 times a week when I leave or come home. My CT is just parked outside and people hiking around the neighborhood will stop to ask when they see me. Everyone seems to love it. Have not heard of any FUD in real life.

Yes. I, too have had the mainstream negative Tesla news regurgitated at me several times these past few weeks.
