So I had the exact same thoughts about smoking out the DRL bar.

However, I live in CA. I'd be interested to know if anybody else knows exactly what the rule would be in CA for this setup as I think after a couple hours of looking this up that the scenario of the DRL not being integrated with the headlights does not seem to be specifically addressed. Generically I think it states that lights have to be white or in the case of fog lights can also be yellow and it is illegal to tint fog lights or headlights otherwise. But what about this separate DRL all by itself? Would a light or mid tint grey make the light "non-white" by legal standards? I'm not at all a fan of gifting probable cause to the police so if it would then I will pass on the looks in favor of not being pulled over... but that DRL bar with a black wrap job would look much better a bit smoked as compared to the stock white IMHO. Not sure what legal experts in CA vehicle code would say about that though so if anyone here knows definitively I would love to hear what the deal is before I get my beast.

Matt black is definitely the one. However, I'm sticking to default stainless because I'll be brushing up to "hard as rock" manzanita bushes when I'm 4-wheelin'!

this makes the DRL look really bizarre to me. Id certainly wrap it in amber film. Definitely doing 50% tint on the windshield a 20% ceramic everywhere else. Ive already picked out a pattern for everywhere else but the hood is going satin black

What is the the cost of the factory wrap? I haven’t been able to order but understand that that is an option.
