Would it be possible to electrify the exterior of the cybertruck if there was a possibility of physical harm to the passengers in the truck?

I seriously doubt it would be safely feasible for the truck's electrical systems, due to exterior and exoskeleton almost certainly unified with chassis ground, as well as some interior parts also being connected to chassis ground. This would be dangerous for occupants inside as nearly much as anyone outside, depending on what interior component they touch.

Whatever electrification attempted for the purpose of shocking outside intruders; it would have to be a difference of potential in relation to the ground the intruders are standing on. To electrify the skin, you would have to create a floating ground condition which would wreak havoc on the truck's electrical components unless that skin was especially insulated and isolated from the rest of the truck for that purpose. I don't think the Cybertruck is manufactured that way.

Even if that were done, if an intruder jumped into the vault or on the frunk, top or whatever, they would not get shocked because there would not be a path for current to flow through them. For people to get shocked, they have to touch two points with difference of electrical potential. Often, the two points of electrical shock are a live conductor and ground the person is standing on, but it could also be two conductors of different voltages.

Even if intruders touched an electrified skin, shoes that are good electrical insulators could still protect them. Think of birds sitting on high voltage electrical wires carrying thousands of volts. If they are on one wire at a time, then they are safe, but if they contact both a wire and a ground point at the same time, then they are 'fried'. But with the way power lines are suspended on insulated hangers, it's very difficult for this to happen.

What we really need, is to invent 'Force Fields'. :)

This is not about you. But since this forum has a high density of intellectuals, I thought I should bring up a philosophical relevant topic for discussion:

I always thought I was a nice guy until I saw someone pissed at me on the road. I still don't know what she was upset about. That made me realize that I have never met an asshole that knew they were one. I could very well be one of them. How do we really know?

You're not an asshole, because you're never at the meetings

It doesn’t need to be lethal just uncomfortable like an electric fence.
