I can't wait any longer, is there anyone who wants to buy contract? I am pretty close to the top.
With about 90 days until they start delivering, NOW You want to jump ship and sell your places in line?

Head shake.

How will that even work? Your reservation is tied to your name. How do you "sell it"?

I have many questions. Without a clear process and good answers to some of the questions it is a bit of a risk. We are not sure what TESLA will allow?

-Anyone done any investigation into the process? Is this even doable?

-I am not sure what the process would be to purchase someone else's reservations and even if Tesla would honor it? Can we "will" it to someone else? LOL

-What configuration was initially ordered? FSD? Will TESLA allow someone assuming another person's order change the configuration?

-Finally, how will Tesla even fill the orders, by reservation number, by configuration? by geographical location?

You just buy the account. and change the password and email (if they let you change the email). and hope they go in some sort of order lol

This was discussed widely in another thread. Ogre had a good summation.

.... I think we won’t see reservations selling for 10s of thousands of dollars. It’s much lower risk for the seller and much riskier for the buyer.

What recourse do you have if you buy a reservation from Tesla and they cancel it/ blacklist you? Lots of risk on the buyer and none on the seller. I could see a big market in the $2000 - $5000 range, but aside from within the first few weeks can’t see it sustained much higher than that.

Do you guarantee people can execute on the sale? It’s all weird gray market stuff.

Yeah, it is a form of scalping, so definitely a risk. Even if you buy the account, change the password, and email, it probably won't allow you to change the name on the account. Just confused on how this would work. A lot of people mention "Selling their reservation" but I don't think they thought out the process of doing so.

My wife would probably buy a reservation for a "token" amount, and take the chance*, but there are still lots of questions.

(*She doesn't have one on order now, so not taking a big risk.)

There isn't a contract to sell. You have a pre-order agreement. It prohibits resale. Tesla will be hard pressed to do anything if you take delivery and resale a Cybertruck without prior evidence of you planned to resale. Some people buy Teslas and truly don't like them, just like any other vehicle. They aren't going to be able to stop those isolated resales of single vehicles. But they'll almost certainly cancel your pre-order and send you your $100 back if if the pre-order was sold. Good luck finding a sucker that thinks the pre-order agreement will be honored after being sold.

...They aren't hard-pressed to blacklist you from further Tesla transactions.
