Show me your grocery run setup

I cook very little, mostly buy non-refrigerated items or "healthy" snacks and eat out. And even if something is refrigerated, getting it home cold isn't usually a problem.

So I figure the cargo net and L-tracks for the frunk will be all I need for groceries. Or keeping anything else up there from sliding around.

Ha-ha! I live in a very rainy place and the floor of my bed is bone dry, even after driving through a rainstorm.

The frunk fits our reuseable grocery bags just fine. It fits the grocery store bags too. It sounds like you have those over-sized grocery bags that are more likely to crush your food.

Yep Yep. Western Wa here too. Been raining quite a bit lately. Bed staying quite dry. That said, I have so far only used the frunk for groceries that don’t need a cooler. I have a soft cooler in the sub trunk.

I went through two hurricanes and unprecedented rain and my bed was bone dry. It might not be “waterproof”, but I bet most of the rain or wetness will come from the bags getting wet while carrying the bags to the CT.

if you’re getting water in your bed you need to go to the SC.

yep, we got over 6" of rain from Helene on the eastern edge of TN, bed was bone dry. We found the trick a week beforehand... I keep an old towel handy and wipe the tonneau (throw the towel over the tonneau) before retracting it. Previously we were getting water in as we retracted the tonneau.

For groceries... just a "BestEvMod Cargo Mesh Net for Pickup Truck Bed Compatible with Tesla Cybertruck" from Amazon, like others here.
The big plastic costco tubs are handy too.
Also "Creative Green Life Reusable Grocery Bags (3 Pack) - Heavy Duty Reusable Shopping Bags with Box Shape to Stand Up" which fit nicely inside the cargo mesh net.

Chief , if someone isn’t fixing the gasket right at the service center and they still get a leak that means people on here are lying that there T cover doesn’t leak ? Make it make sense lightning ? Why would someone even lie about that on here skipper?

This is a pretty light Costco run, yet most of it fits in the Cyberfrunk just fine. If I have bigger items like tp or Costco sized flats of water, etc. they just go in the back seat. I have not had to use the bed for groceries so far...until I buy that 75" CyberTV that I have been eyeing...haha

Depending on the parking I get at the commissary, I either put everything in the vault under the bed or in the frunk under the cargo net. Mostly I prefer the latter. It would technically be better to get a fitted cooler up there, but I haven't done that yet.

Always! I call it the $500 store because even if I am only going there with 4-5 items on my list I still spend $500. Too funny.

The $0.99 blue IKEA bags fit perfect in the frunk for holding stuff. Portable and fold away small too.

EDIT: They also work great in the vault because you can hook them on the L track hooks on the sides.

I believe many of the early builds had water issues, that Tesla later "fixed" by putting in more seal material. I have a 2024 September Foundation, and yes mine initially leaked significantly from the front of the cover. I followed a string here to repair it - primarily by adding clear seal caulking on where the base plate gets attached to the roof, and placing spongy rubber sealing along the ends of the plate that were virtually open in my build.
