Just received the latest update from Tesla today and the first thing I noticed that Sirus Radio is no longer included free with those who have the premium package. They are asking 90 per year. I always thought it was included in the premium package. Did anybody else get the same?

Sirius always tries to get you to pay, eventually.

Unless you're using it with a sat device, it doesn't have much of an advantage over other streaming services. And it's much more expensive.

I have premium connectivity and mine was just a 30 day trial. Pretty sure it was never 100% free.

Out of curiosity, do you prefer Sirius over other options? I've considered satellite radio dead with the advent of streaming platforms.

One of the worst misses in the CT is not having a satellite antenna for true satellite radio. I do a lot of rural travel and the streaming options just don't do anything.

Through my extensive use of Sirius XM when rural, I've grown to really like Sirius XM. The stations have introduced me to a lot of music I never knew I'd listen to (those goth kids I thought were weird as kids... turns out they had great music), and they do a much better job than something like Spotify with this task. I use Amazon Music to find specific songs/albums, the other apps are a good choice for people set in their ways that listen to the same songs over and over and over and over (aka - my gf).

I am highly considering getting a CT Sirius XM sub still, I already have the app to listen to when doing yard work etc. Is it true I need a specific sub just for the truck? If so, that stinks.

SIDE NOTE: Amazon music app is the only tech feature in Tesla vehicles that glitches all the time and it has since it was launched, HIGHLY disappointed. I now have Amazon and Spotify for when Amazon glitches, which it always does. I then switch to a worse app I've been forced to pay for.

I have it on my mom's pathfinder, I'll just use the app on the phone and stream over Bluetooth since it comes with the subscription I pay for on her car.
