I can’t seem to get a solid answer from googling

Does this charge faster than a Gen 2?

…or can the truck only accept 48A max?

Correct, the truck will only accept 48A max.

Let’s compare the chargers:
  1. Tesla Gen 2 Wall Connector
    • Max output: 80 amps (19.2 kW) when connected to a 100-amp circuit breaker.
    • However, it adjusts to the vehicle’s onboard charger limit. Since the Cybertruck caps out at 48 amps (11.5 kW), the Gen 2 Wall Connector will only deliver up to 48 amps to the Cybertruck, even if it’s capable of more for older Tesla models that could handle 72A or 80A.
  2. The "Special Edition" Wall Connector
    • Max output: 48 amps (11.5 kW) on a 60-amp breaker.

Hope this helps!
