how many times have you driven it around salt? Mine Faired poorly to say the least being parked 2 blocks from ocean
Salt? Only on the margaritas.

I know of owners in northern climates that drove on salted roads, and had the frame rust out. The epoxy coating developed cracks over the years, letting in the salt, but I've never heard of the stainless being ruined.

My DeLorean is 40+ years old. There is no rust.

However, it starts collecting your fingerprints when you are within 3 feet lol
Fingerprint finish for the win.

Just fingerprint the whole body so it becomes the designed pattern. Any new fingerprints will just be additional camouflage.

On Saturday, the Florida Club was at Ace Cafe in Orlando. There were 11 shiny, streak free cars present.

Very beautiful. I loved DeLorean when it came out. Unfortunately I was not in the car market at the time as I was under underage for getting a drivers license.

Now though. I see a DeLorean and think it is still beautiful but as an ICE vehicle, I don't want to own it. Instead, I want the updated DeLorean supercharged to be turned into the CT. I feel about the CT similarly to what I used to feel about the DeLorean. But this time around I'm in the market and will manage to get one eventually.

40 years from now (assuming health care progresses like other technologies), maybe I'll be showing off my CT similar to the above.

I berthed and sailed boats on the GSL(8-9%NaCl) in Salt Lake City for years. None, read zero, S.S. corrosivity. Welds? Couple dodgy ones let-in and brittle broke.
Aluminum rusts away. I know that much. seeing mast deterioration. So Tesla engineers will need to include in their margin of safety in and around alum.

WRT: Cybertruck unions, fastening systems where dissimilar materials join(i.e. casting, batterypack, battery cover) protective seals, sacrificial anodes and sealants will be tested over time. Especially tested where the vehicle is exposed, consumed by and engulfed by melt water, snow and freeze-thaw cycles.

WRT DOT road salting and accelerant melt agents? IDK. Penetration happens.

Genius. Perfect! To the point where you get furious if someone wipes away a small section of "camo". "Do you have any idea how long it's going to take to build back those fingerprints!?!?!"

Living on the beach, the biggest problem is that cars mildew and mold. Anti-microbial interior treatment, at car scale, is by far the greatest concern rather than rusting S.S.
Tesla vegan materials may be immune to molds and mildew, but otherwise will require rotating ownership yearly on the coast.
I have an intolerance to mold. OCTOVALVE needs a bretheren for de-humidifying the cabin 247

Does that actually remove any moisture? Isn't moist and warm MORE likely to cause mold?

Cars aren't hermetically sealed. Being a degree warmer than the outside will make the inside trend towards higher pressure. Also, it'll make the inside surfaces slightly warmer than the air, so less condensation. Over time, the water vapor escapes, rather than collects. As it gets cold, less water vapor (total) is in the air, even if the air is humid. So it slowly works the water out of the space.

It won't help if you have a pool, but nothing will. And it's only a few watts or few hundred watts - not enough to be more than a degree warmer than outside at most

The idea is to keep the water vapor from condensing into liquid and soaking the materials in the car.

My wife told me strip clubs prefer $2 bills because it doubles the minimum tip.

Not sure how she knows this…

What ever you use to keep the stainless looking good…..the last thing you want is any product the requires buffing and polishing.
