When you drive a DeLorean, every stop is a car show lol.

Expect to get similar treatment in the CT.
When I first got my Model Y there was a bit of that. They've quickly gone from being rare to being one of the most common new cars on the road.

I suspect when I get my Cybertruck it will be 5 times worse since there will be only a handful in the area.

As hard as it is to believe, there are many people that never heard of "Cybertruck" or even Tesla. Brace yourself for a litany of outlandish questions and comments everywhere you go, such as:
  • How did you get all the paint off?
  • Is that a kit car?
  • Did you build that yourself?
  • Where did you get that?
  • It's a Chevy big-block in there rite?
  • That's very dangerous.
  • You'll never get parts for that.
  • You'll never get service for that.
  • I bet I can make it rust.
  • Did you know those are made by GM?
  • Did you know those are made by Ford?
  • Did you know those are made in Detroit?
  • Is that thing real?!??

I've been accosted with all of these, and more, in the DeLorean.

I bet! That's pretty funny really... Who hasn't seen back to the future??

I would LOVE to get ride in a DeLorean! I've never even seen one in person.

I'm regularly shocked by people that don't know what a DeLorean is (or worse, think it was "made up" just for the movie lol).

There are periodic DMC meetups, you can probably find one in your area.

I have answers.
  • Hold on I’ll show you hover mode.
  • It’s nuclear. Stay away from the exhaust pipes
  • Paint won't stick to Argon 75
  • Step back sometimes the ions leak out
  • It’s military property, I can’t answer that.
  • Area 51.

  • Yes, it's a Tesla.
On that point, I saw my first refresh Model S today. OMG it looked so low and sleek and concept-car like. It had no badges except 'dual motor' so it wasn't even a plaid. It looked so good and clean inside.

I'm wondering what kind of cars you have? You might consider switching to a Tesla. They have state of the art coatings on the upper glass so your head will no longer get fried. It blocks the UV and IR very effectively. It is kind of dark but that's because it blocks much of the visible light as well.

It's been 102-104 F degrees here the last two days and the most comfortable place is inside the Model 3's. I even drove through an area that was 108 F degrees in the middle of the afternoon with the sun beating down and the Model 3 remained comfy.
Hmmm. I have a MY and it gets really hot in the Colorado Sun. it will hit 131 in just a couple of hours without protection.

That's normal, all cars get hot in the sun like that. My F-150 gets hotter than my Model 3's.

Every time log into this site and see stuff like this, I feel like it drops my IQ a few points.
It's only marginally worse than flat-earth discussions.

SS will reflect heat compared to a black or red paint job.

I know.

One thing bare metal will do is conduct heat faster into your hand... but it will also conduct heat faster into the wind, too.
