If you have not seen this, be prepared to be sucked in for thirty minutes. Chat overlay was a bit annoying for me.

I'm repeating myself here. But unless Starlink can beam itself directly into your antenna and not rely on some earth-bound cell sites, it's nearly next to useless for me (I want to be able to do my computer dependent side-gig from out of the grid area while boondocking).

And of course, my dream that Starlink should be able to send lightning bolt on my ligthning arrester tower on top of my Cybertruck to re-charge its battery. :p

SpaceX has been very busy lately. Yesterday they did a launch at Vandenberg on the west coast. I went to our local beach and got this photo from 84 miles away. Unfortunately, with the launch midday it was pretty boring. Beautiful clear skies yesterday too.

BTW, the rocket is that little light in the sky above the wave.:D

@Sirfun - you should have brought your surf board with those big waves. How's the fishing in Oxnard Fishing Harbor?
The offshore winds with Santa Ana weather condition have made great surfing conditions the last 3 weeks. My son and I went golfing yesterday. BTW fishing out of the Channel Islands Harbor is pretty good! There are a few local charters.

Starlink will, in fact, beam straight into your house thanks to Dishy McFlatface.

You should have seen the first successful Falcon Heavy launch. That was the most exciting one I've seen so far. Even now when I watch the replay I still get all verklempt.

It was actually pretty awesome to see live. My son had the SpaceX feed with countdown on his cell phone. And right on cue with the countdown, way off in the distance, you could see the candle get lit. And off into space it goes! One of these days we're going to drive up there and check out a launch from up close. There's a public beach about 3 1/2 miles from the launch facility.

And they now have Starlink Premium with a faster connection and a more expensive subscription.
Not that I'll be beating a path to their door with this superfast connection, but it is still silent on coverage (and promise of saturating the earth). And this is damn pricey even with the assurance handling bad whether well.

HATE Starlink. Gets in the way of my astrophotography... I can process a lot of it out, fortunately. I GUESS I can forfeit some of my personal freedoms for the advancement of humanity however... ;)

All these are from my driveway... Every one took some extra processing to get rid of the satellite trails.

The streaks are particularly bad in the Orion Constellation, given its position in the sky...
