I have the same thing. My service appointment is 3 weeks out and to be honest I would rather fix it myself because Tesla service folks have a tendency to break clips.Notsure it was similar to the issue OP encountered. Here was i had and SC fixed it

I checked out the service site but the instructions on releasing the clips are vague. I managed to get two unclipped with a credit card (closest to the dash) however the two near the wheel won't release.
I don't want to force it too hard as I may end up breaking the clips. Has anyone else been able to open this up? Id be interested to know the technique and position of the opposite clip pressure points to prevent damage.
