Tailgate closure

got my CB foundation a little over a month ago. noticed the other night when i close my tailgate it doesn't sinch tight. i feel like it did before. isnt there a small motor that pulls the tailgate in tight against the vehicle when you lift it up and press it closed? seems like there is a little movement in it now. am i crazy? isnt it supposed to close tighter after you press it shut?

Before you go to the dealership just do what @CyberGus said. Chances are you’re just closing the tailgate too hard. Lift it into the closing position and wait for it to catch, but do it gently. Once you go past a certain point it’s not going to pull because it’s already closed.

It’s weird but you have to use light pressure.

well son of a bitch it worked! I swear I thought I was closing it lightly but man you have to barely just click it to get it to close. Thanks a ton guys. Huge help.
