Tesla is cutting prices to stoke demand - I think this is a good sign that they are starting to get more competitive as consumers are buying less cars in high interest rate environment.

This also bodes well for Cybertruck price. Quad Motor long range released at $80k? (10k increase from Tri motor pre-release price)

that’s a wonderful option for Tesla customers. Great job Tesla.
I’ll still take my truck with the yoke.
Love the ability to have choice for steering wheel though. 👍
Hmmm. 🤔
Anymore options coming?

About time Tesla drop prices as their margin is down right highway robbery level or in Elon’s own words: embarrassingly high! Plus their cost is dropping like a rock thanks to insane increase in production rate, then Texas is finally ramping and hope 4680 cells will this year also. When all the pieces fall in place in a few months, I am guessing a 10% average price drop in US is coming soon!

Price cuts were inevitable. Tesla raised prices almost monthly after the Covid outbreak due to increased demand and supply constraints.

I'm only mildly perturbed by the idea of a mandatory yoke steering wheel. Given the option I'd probably still opt for wheel because of how i prefer to steer when backing (hand at top center), but the yoke wouldn't be a deal breaker. What I really fear I'd hate is the turn signals on the wheel. I'd really like my turn signal to be where I know it'll be even when turning the wheel. I have enough trouble figuring out which scroll wheel is the radio volume/mute when I'm maneuvering in tight quarters. If steer by wire gets worked out so that the wheel never turns beyond 90˚ I could probably deal with it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As for the price cut, a lot of that is likely quite regional. Haven’t seen any changes in the US or EU yet even though it would make the Model Y qualify for incentives.

No clue if this means anything for the Cybertruck or even Teslas US pricing in general yet. Find out over the next few months.

have you forgotten the high prices were intentional to reduce demand before Austin and Berlin were in production? remember the 12 month order times? those are finally gone, so Tesla can begin to return to the 'just in time' business model.
