Tesla Cybertruck Is A Beast That Truck Lovers Will Fall In Love With

It's rugged and excessively futuristic, which are the characters that make the Tesla Cybertruck "cold and almost repulsive." The words came from famed car designer Frank Stephenson, whose review of the all-electric pickup concluded that the EV is not primed for success. But a truck lover disagreed.

Stephenson shared his view on Tesla's upcoming electric pickup and took issue with the angular design employed on the EV. He thought that the Cybertruck is disconnected from nature and its attempt of embracing the future seemed to promote lifelessness.

Stephenson, whose vehicle design credits include involvement with premium brands such as Ferrari, BMW, and McLaren, feared Tesla denied the Cybertruck a dose of vibrancy and the truck will become dated too soon.

"The Cybertruck feels sterile and anti-environmentalist... which for an electric and sustainable vehicle feels counterintuitive," Stephenson offered, and per the report by Business Insider.

He added that that riding the EV would create a feeling of coldness and isolation. The truck's design underscores sturdiness but those inside of the Cybertruck are more likely to be overwhelmed by the feeling of emptiness.

However, a YouTuber who calls himself the Cybertruck Truck Guy dismissed Stephenson's observation. The vlogger conceded that Tesla's truck is not easy on the eyes but the EV is stuffed with the features and functionalities that matter most to heavy truck users.

The trucker said it's true that the Cybertruck looks cold but it certainly is durable, and that alone makes it an attractive package for would-be buyers who put greater emphasis on function rather than form.

For truckers who are serious about the machine they use, the Cybertruck is a perfect choice as it radiates toughness and beastly capabilities. Per Teslarati, the electric pickup was designed not to be sleek and luxurious, and the trucker said Tesla made the right move.

The YouTuber's counter-review is aligned with that of Elon Musk's recent clarification about the Cybertruck. The Tesla CEO did not deny that truck's design has a polarizing effect but he explained that the EV's core attraction is its monster performance.

The Cybertruck is designed for rough use and its build is a testament to that main function. The brains behind the all-electric pickup wanted to highlight the promise that the truck can perform beyond expectations. And it will work much longer than the competition.

The Cybertruck will compete for attention against upcoming rivals such as the GMC Hummer and Ford's electric version of the F-150. These gorgeous trucks will surely grab attention when rolling on the road but the Tesla Cybertruck will get the same treatment.

But the big difference is the assurance of durability. When its rival pickup trucks are deployed to harsh environment use, they will surely suffer damages and scruffs. Tesla said it will not be the case with the Cybertruck.

That designer is calling the Hummer gorgeous!

I think the Hummer is a hodgepodge of random bumps and to me the Hummer is ugly. Especially the front view. In the future the Hummer will be thought as an example of excessive styling like some designs from 1940s & 1950s.

The F-150 is OK looking but why do both the Hummer & F-150 EVs have grills. How much range is lost because of the high hoods and grills?

Hummer is less ugly to me than same-old-stuff. Had the Cybertruck not been introduced people would be more enthusiastic about eHummer. But CT came first and the eHummer is, well, ho-hum.
