Looks like it can be a De-ICE-er and Wiper all in one.
So what does one call them? "Laser Ablators" or "CT Lablators"? It certainly removes the debris ablatively.

Maybe this is why in a possible future they decided to go ahead and invent Shield technology and be done with it.... That way debris, ice, or rocks would never even touch the vehicle at all.

I also think they need to go ahead and implement high pressure mini air nozzles to blow debris off of the rear and side cameras whenever needed during rain, snow, or splatter. They apparently already have heaters to prevent them from icing up.

Do not look into the laser with remaining eye... One of our customers I worked with had that in his groups laser safety manual for years before it was noticed.
